Surf City Squash: - Replacement Van Fundraising Challenge!
Surf City Squash needs your help! Surf City Squash is a youth squash program in California providing squash instruction, academic tutoring, and leadership skills to 40 urban youth.
The Problem: One week ago, the Surf City Squash van broke down. This van is the only method of transportation that brings these students between their homes, their school, and to and from their squash training.
The Solution: Surf City Squash needs a replacement van. We are asking for any donation you can make, no matter how small, from today until Friday, February 26. Please tell your squash coach how much you are donating, and make donations directly to:
Surf City Squash
9370 Waples Street, Suite 101
San Diego, CA 92121
How do I help? Ways in which other Junior Squash Players have helped include:
o Returning milk bottles to stores and collecting their deposit
o Doing chores around the house for a small allowance: doing the dishes, washing a car, taking out the garbage
o Donating a small amount of their own allowances and piggy bank money
o ??? -- Think creatively! This is your opportunity!
Prizes: Your donation efforts are part of a larger contest. The top team will receive a t-shirt signed by each of the Surf City Squash kids. The individuals that raise the most money with the Top 5 fundraising groups will receive:
o First prize: 1 racquet
o Second prize: 1 backpack
o Third prize: 1 t-shirt
